For five decades, we have reviewed the law of NSW and recommended reforms.
On the 25th of September, we celebrated our 50th anniversary with some of the leading legal personalities in NSW, including Attorney-General Mark Speakman and former High Court of Australia judge the Honourable Michael Kirby.

Commissioners Alan Cameron AO and Justice Paul Brereton AM, President of the NSW Court of Appeal Justice Margaret Beazely AO, and the Attorney-General gave speeches to honour the occasion.

We would like to thank all our guests for celebrating this milestone with us.

In 1967, the Parliament of NSW passed the Law Reform Commission Act 1967 (NSW) establishing the NSW Law Reform Commission as an independent statutory body.
