​Bail: Firearms and criminal associations


The Attorney General has asked us to review aspects of the Bail Act 2013 (NSW). In particular, we have been asked to consider whether:

  • the list of firearms and criminal associations offences which are subject to the "show cause" requirement should be expanded, and
  • the term "criminal associations" should be defined.
We transmitted Report 150 - Bail: Firearms and criminal associations to the Attorney General on 20 October 2022. The report was tabled on 4 November 2022.
